Even the prospect of rain….. something in the air, sets all the critters into flirtation and display mode. Here these African Crested Cranes were all jumping about, each male trying to look more grand, more conspicuous, more appealing, than the others. The females didn’t really seem all that interested in any of them—which, of course, made the males jump about even more. Sort of like sports events…….
