On to Roswell New Mexico to visit the evidence of the only “real” “documented” UFO crash in 1947 at a secret Army base in the desert, Area 51, near Roswell. Then, on to Lubbock Texas, for a real taste of Buddy Holly and the Crickets. Then on to Austin Texas.

Haven’t we all seen a lot of Alien Stuff in our lifetime? Lots of “evidence” for sale. A bit like buying Jesus relics as “stuff”.

Some would say that the crashed UFO looked like this (a “flying saucer”) and the dead creatures outside of it looked like those standing in the back. Guy knew a man who knew a man who was the Chief Information Officer for the Army in 1947 when the crash occured and he swears that this is all true. He issued a press release at the time saying so but was required to pull it back and instead issue a vanilla press release calling it a crashed weather balloon. He also claimed to have seen the dead creatures being autopsied and loaded into coffins (six were mysteriously ordered by the Army from a local mortuary the day after the crash) and flown away in Army aircraft. You be the judge.

Area 51, “secret” site, is the federal “defense” land in the desert where the UFO allegedly crashed. These folks are still trying to cash in on it 65 years later.

The Buddy Holly Museum… no cameras inside. A lot of stuff relating to Holly, the Crickets, and West Texas’ role in music of the 1950s and 1960s.

They started as the Crickets, then became Buddy Holly and the Crickets, then split up and it was just Bunny Holly.
