The bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater is almost flat. Visibility is good, making it harder for the predators. The comfort level of the critters—here buffalo, elephant, and zebra—shows, at least in daylight. Image Reply
At one end of life’s continuum, this older wildebeest has been left (or kicked out) to be alone, solitary, vulnerable. It will die or be eaten alone….. Image Reply
This baby gazelle has survived the most difficult part—the first few days—as it builds strength, so comes the speed and agility to out maneuver and out run the many things that would rather just eat it….. right now it remains pretty vulnerable. Image Reply
