You can barely make out the African Augur Buzzard nest below us on a cliff face. There were two chicks in it and our host said that the parents will kick the weakest one out of the nest, preferring to raise only one baby. So, Joseph climbed all the way down the cliff, climbed back up in the tree at the base of the cliff, retrieved the smallest one, and ultimately brought it back up the cliff in a canvas bag…. We surprised this one in the bush…. And elephants do not like surprises. Shortly after giving us this once-over, it made a mock (we think!) charge and closed about one-half of the distance between us before deciding none of us needed this…. Image Reply
